Effectmanager has been in business since 2010, providing retail suppliers such as P&G, Pernod Ricard, Mars, Arla Foods and Royal Unibrew with a solution for adding value to the relationship between the retail supplier and the retail chain. The Effectmanager solution enhances the relationship between the Key Account Manager on the supplier side and the Procurement Officer on the retail chain side. The goal is to establish a strategic partnership with one mutual objective in mind: improving retail campaign profit.

We are looking for a Development Manager/CTO, who will play a crucial role in this process.

Job description:

The job is a combination of various elements and functions. As our new CTO, you will:

  • Be responsible for and manage our near-shore development team
  • Build up a best-in-class team, create tools and processes
  • Develop a long-term strategy for software and translate it into an achievable roadmap
  • Deliver on the roadmap
  • Assist the customers and the internal sales/product teams, incl. IT implementation and operational projects
  • Liaise and collaborate with business development teams to understand and influence product vision and requirements
  • Provide leadership and direction for IT implementation and operational projects with our customers
  • Be willing to travel 20-25 days a year

You will report to the CEO, be part of the management team, and build and lead R&D and a variety of strategic R&D related initiatives.

You will be involved directly with Effectmanager’s customers, which requires technical expertise as well as strong data skills.

Our expectations of you:

We envision you to be a Lead Engineer/Full-Stack developer, systems architect, release manager, product manager or something in between.

We expect the ideal candidate to have a strong profile:

  • A significant SaaS expertise
  • 5 or more years of experience and leadership in the online software industry 
  • A background as Lead Engineer/Full-Stack developer 
  • Solid experience with BI is a plus and so is integration with different ERP and other LOB systems, such as SAP, Dynamics, Salesforce, NetSuite etc. 
  • Experience in managing teams towards success 
  • A hands-on approach – working in the “engine room” is a motivational driver
  • A solid background with managing product roadmaps and prioritization across a diverse set of stakeholders
  • A skilled developer well on the way in your career 
  • Working in a small organization is a motivational driver
